The Friends’ objective for the last 90+ years has been ‘to support and assist Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery and to promote their use and enjoyment by the public’. As we acclimatise ourselves to the ‘new normal’, ‘Artefacts’ (our quarterly magazine) and our Enewsletter keep our Members up-to-date with the latest news and events. Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery has had to close its doors for essential maintenance work until 2024, which makes our work supporting and promoting Birmingham Museums Trust and its Historic Properties even more important than ever.
Membership subscriptions are paid annually (the second figure in each category is the concessionary rate for 60+/unwaged):
Single: £32 / £21
Double: £48 / £32
Students: £15
From 1 June 2024 our Membership Subscription Rates are due to increase for the first time in 10 years. They will then be as below (the second figure in each category is the concessionary rate for 60+/unwaged):
Single: £35 / £23
Double: £52 / £40
Students: £16
There is also the option to buy a Life membership:

Double: £750 / £550
